Robin Paul
Cultural Background: Mi’kmaq, Newfoundland
Robin Paul is Mi’kmaq from Newfoundland, currently living in Welamukotuk First Nation, NB with her husband and children. She is a multi-talented artisan and has been creating art for over 20 years. Her art recently received national and international recognition when she designed a shirt for the Canadian staff of General Motors to wear on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and when she designed a hockey stick for the 2023 International Ice Hockey Federation World Juniors player of the game awards.

Robin Paul est une Micmaque de Terre-Neuve qui vit actuellement dans la Première Nation de Welamukotuk, au Nouveau-Brunswick, avec son mari et ses enfants. Artisane aux multiples talents, elle crée des œuvres d’art depuis plus de 20 ans. Son œuvre a récemment été reconnue à l’échelle nationale et internationale grâce au chandail qu’elle a conçu pour le personnel de General Motors Canada, porté à l’occasion de la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation, ainsi que par le bâton de hockey qu’elle a dessiné pour le Prix du Joueur du match du Championnat du monde de hockey junior de la Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace de 2023
