Bruce Morrisseau, nephew of renowned painter Norval Morrisseau, was born in 1965 in Beardmore Ontario. He has been creating and expressing the woodlands style taught to him by his uncle for over 10 years. It is Bruce’s wish to pass on Ojibway culture and traditions to all people. He feels he can express himself through this style of art and finds it very healing.

Bruce Morrisseau, neveu du célèbre peintre Norval Morrisseau, est né en 1965 à Beardmore Ontario. Il crée et s’exprime dans le style “Woodland” (Indien des bois) enseigné par son oncle depuis plus de 10 ans. C’est le souhait de Bruce de transmettre la culture et les traditions Ojibway à tous les peuples. Il sent qu’il peut s’exprimer à travers cette forme d’art qu’il trouve très guérissante.
