Sue Coccia
Cultural Background: Cherokee Ancestry
Award winning Northwest artist Sue Coccia is from Edmonds, Washington.
Sue's Grandmother's Grandmother was Native American and that tiny bit of heritage has had a large influence on her art. Indigenous art and its relationship with the animal worlds has also influenced Sue's unique style. A deep love of all animals was instilled at a very young age and Sue has dedicated her life's work to them. She has a formal art training background; however she was truly inspired by her high school art teacher, d'Elaine Johnson, an internationally recognized artist.
A portion of the proceeds from her sales will be donated to organizations dedicated to the preservation of animals and their habitat. The preservation of wildlife is of great importance to her. In fact, the National Wildlife Federation has recognized her home as a certified Backyards Wildlife Habitat.

Artiste du Nord-Ouest, est originaire d'Edmonds, Washington.
L'arrière grand-mère de Sue était indigène et ce petit héritage a eu une grande influence sur son art. L'art indigène et sa relation avec le monde animal ont également influencé son style unique. Un amour profond de tous les animaux a été hérité à un très jeune âge et c’était pour eux que Sue a consacré le travail de sa vie. Elle a une formation en art formel; Cependant, elle a été vraiment inspirée par son professeur d'art d'école secondaire, Elaine Johnson, un artiste reconnu internationalement. Une partie du produit de ses ventes sera reversée à des organisations dédiés à la préservation des animaux et leurs habitats. La préservation de la faune est d'une grande importance pour elle. En fait, la Fédération Nationale de la Faune a reconnu sa maison comme étant un habitat faunique.
