Teo Tarras was born in Barcelona in 1960. His mother, who was a painter, provided his earliest artistic influence. From an early age the young Tarras felt the need to express himself through illustration, painting and, more than anything, photography.

Tarras specialized in Graphic Design and Publicity at the Escuela de Bellas Artes y Oficios Artísticos. He graduated from the University of Barcelona with a B.A., and received a degree from Escuela Massana y La Llotja de Barcelona.

Tarras has many years of experience in illustration, photography and design and has worked for a variety of publicity agencies and editors over the years.

"I like to photograph in black and white as this is the poetic part of photography," says Tarras about his great interest in life. Photography is a means of expression that Tarras feels a strong need to experience. He has always loved art in all of its expressions and forms, and he experimented with many different forms until he found his own way with photography. The movement and the people within his urban surroundings particularly inspire Tarras.

Tarras has exhibited his work in Palau Rogent in Barcelona, and his works appear in a permanent exhibition in the Liceo Opera House in Barcelona.

Tarras possède de nombreuses années d’expérience en illustration, photographie et design, et a travaillé pour diverses agences de publicité et maisons d’édition au fil des ans.

" J’aime photographier en noir et blanc, car c’est la partie poétique de la photographie ", dit Tarras à propos de sa grande passion dans la vie. La photographie est pour lui un moyen d’expression qu’il ressent un fort besoin d’explorer. Il a toujours aimé l’art sous toutes ses formes et expressions, et a expérimenté de nombreuses techniques avant de trouver sa propre voie à travers la photographie. Le mouvement et les gens dans son environnement urbain l’inspirent particulièrement.

Tarras a exposé son travail au Palau Rogent à Barcelone, et ses œuvres font partie d’une exposition permanente au Gran Teatre del Liceu à Barcelone.
