Ily Szilagyi grew up in East Europe for most of her childhood and moved to Gummersbach, Germany in 1992 with her husband. She lived in California for two years and worked in the architectural design field, where she harnessed her ability to recognize details in the structure of objects, people and the environment. Within the past 4 years, Ily has concentrated her attention in the field of monochrome Fine Art Photography and Infrared Photography in the subjects of scenic, still life, floral and artistic photography. She has worked as a professional photographer through several image libraries in London, New York and Canada.

Szilagyi aims to celebrate life with her inspirations from nature, human beings, everyday life and winter scenes. Her work has been reproduced by many Fine Art Publishers and been licensed for various book and CD covers. She has been honored with a third place standing at the px3-Prix de la Photgraphie Paris, first place in photojournalism at the IPA International Photography Awards 2006 along with honorable mentions by IPA 2005 in the categories of advertising, fine art-collage, fine art-portrait, self-portrait and special effects. Her work has been exhibited in the US (Los Angeles, New York), Italy, UK, Sweden, Greece, Poland, Brazil and Germany.

Ily Szilagyi a grandi en Europe de l’Est pendant la majeure partie de son enfance, puis a déménagé à Gummersbach, en Allemagne, en 1992 avec son mari. Elle a vécu deux ans en Californie, où elle a travaillé dans le domaine du design architectural, ce qui lui a permis d’affiner son regard pour les détails dans la structure des objets, des personnes et de l’environnement. Au cours des quatre dernières années, Ily a concentré son attention sur le domaine de la photographie monochrome Fine Art ainsi que sur la photographie infrarouge, explorant des sujets tels que les paysages, les natures mortes, les fleurs et la photographie artistique.

Elle a travaillé comme photographe professionnelle pour plusieurs banques d’images à Londres, New York et au Canada.

Szilagyi vise à célébrer la vie en s’inspirant de la nature, des êtres humains, de la vie quotidienne et des scènes hivernales. Son travail a été reproduit par de nombreux éditeurs de Fine Art et licencié pour des couvertures de livres et de CD. Elle a reçu de nombreuses distinctions, notamment une troisième place au px3 – Prix de la Photographie Paris, une première place en photojournalisme aux IPA – International Photography Awards 2006, ainsi que plusieurs mentions honorables aux IPA 2005 dans les catégories publicité, art-collage, portrait, autoportrait et effets spéciaux.

Son travail a été exposé aux États-Unis (Los Angeles, New York), en Italie, au Royaume-Uni, en Suède, en Grèce, en Pologne, au Brésil et en Allemagne.
