Born a Sagittarian, Cheryl Roberts has been an artist her entire life. She came to the Southwest to live a lifestyle of hiking and gardening, and to study art at Arizona State University. While there, Cheryl pursued her understanding of the human anatomy by spending countless hours on life drawing classes.

Today, Cheryl's figurative and abstract-landscape paintings complement her desire to create art with realistic and fantasy elements. Cheryl finds painting human forms to be extremely challenging and exciting. She currently resides with her two cats and two dogs, and when not painting she can be found in her garden.

Her work is characterized by tone on tone colors, and a refreshing air of simplicity. The mixed media, collage technique and glorious finish create a layered masterpiece that delights the eye and complements any decor.

Née sous le signe du Sagittaire, Cheryl Roberts est une artiste depuis toujours. Attirée par le Sud-Ouest pour y vivre sa passion de la randonnée et du jardinage, elle a étudié les arts à l’Université d’État de l’Arizona, consacrant de nombreuses heures aux cours de dessin d’après modèle vivant pour approfondir sa connaissance de l’anatomie humaine.

Le travail de Cheryl allie harmonieusement figures humaines et paysages abstraits, mêlant réalisme et éléments de fantaisie. Elle trouve la peinture du corps humain à la fois stimulante et passionnante. Elle vit avec ses deux chats et deux chiens, partageant son temps entre son jardin et son atelier.

Ses œuvres se distinguent par des couleurs ton sur ton subtiles, une simplicité élégante, et une technique mixte de collage qui crée des pièces riches en couches. Chaque tableau offre une finition éclatante qui capte le regard et embellit tout décor.
