Following art college and a career in film and television, Caroline worked as an illustrator for many well known U.K companies, eventually gravitating from commissioned artwork to a more immediate and personal style of working. The catalyst for this was a studio on the edge of a crumbling cliff in Suffolk, and the impulse to capture the fleeting effect of light on our fragile natural landscape.
Her drawing is detailed and realistic whilst her painting is semi abstract, and she finds both methods of working inform each other. She primarily uses oil on canvas and has exhibited in galleries in London, Bath, Brighton and Suffolk.

Après des études en arts et une carrière dans le cinéma et la télévision, Caroline a travaillé comme illustratrice pour plusieurs grandes entreprises au Royaume-Uni. Progressivement, elle s’est tournée d’un travail commandé vers un style plus spontané et personnel. Le déclic est venu de son atelier situé au bord d’une falaise en train de s’effriter en Suffolk, et du désir de saisir l’effet fugitif de la lumière sur notre fragile paysage naturel.

Son dessin est détaillé et réaliste, tandis que sa peinture est semi-abstraite; elle trouve que ces deux approches s’enrichissent mutuellement. Elle travaille principalement à l’huile sur toile et a exposé dans des galeries à Londres, Bath, Brighton et Suffolk.
