Tat Vilà was born in Olot, Girona, Spain, in 1960, to a family of artists. She started studying art at a very early age at the Olot School of Fine Arts where her father, painter Vilà Moncau, worked as principal and engraving teacher.

In 1979, Tat Vilà moved to Barcelona, where she studied at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts and majored in painting. She also expanded her knowledge at the Circulo Artístico de Sant Lluc’ and at the Barcelona Watercolorists Center, where she worked on studying the human figure. Tat combined her studies with her work and taught painting at the Centro de Expresión Plástica Traç, in Barcelona, Spain.

During all these years, Tat Vilà has combined her teaching work with individual and collective exhibitions throughout Europe and the USA.

Tat Vilà est née à Olot, Girona, en Espagne, en 1960, dans une famille d’artistes. Elle a commencé à étudier l’art dès son plus jeune âge à l’École des Beaux-Arts d’Olot, où son père, le peintre Vilà Moncau, était directeur et professeur de gravure.

En 1979, Tat Vilà s’est installée à Barcelone, où elle a étudié à l’École des Beaux-Arts Sant Jordi, se spécialisant en peinture. Elle a également approfondi ses connaissances au Cercle Artistique de Sant Lluc et au Centre des Aquarellistes de Barcelone, où elle s’est concentrée sur l’étude de la figure humaine. Tat a combiné ses études avec son travail et a enseigné la peinture au Centro de Expresión Plástica Traç, à Barcelone, en Espagne.

Au fil des années, Tat Vilà a su concilier son travail d’enseignante avec des expositions individuelles et collectives à travers l’Europe et les États-Unis.
