Originally from Vancouver, Peter is a graduate of Humber College and spent 2 additional years studying at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, where he won a scholarship in 1982, before embarking on a career as a designer and illustrator. He worked on some big accounts and won some awards for his efforts.

In his spare time, and for some commercial work, Peter worked almost entirely with watercolors, but this was before discovering the flexibility of and longevity of painting with acrylics on canvas. He believes that nothing can beat it in terms of durability and ease of use.

Several years ago he decided to focus on his true passion and lifelong goal and committed to painting on a full-time basis. Since then, Peter has seen his work making a big impact, having huge success at the 2007 and 2008 Toronto Art Expo shows, an award at the high caliber Exposition of Art, Montréal in 2007, shows at the Leonardo and Town Square Galleries, and continuing and growing interest in his originals and prints.

Peter is becoming known for his Canadian landscape paintings, but likes to keep things fresh by doing florals, abstract and figurative studies. His work can be recognized by his impressionistic imagery, bold strokes and striking use of color.
His original paintings and limited prints can be found in a growing list of galleries, private collections and corporations across North America.

Originaire de Vancouver, Peter est diplômé du Collège Humber et a poursuivi ses études pendant deux années supplémentaires à l’Ontario College of Art à Toronto, où il a obtenu une bourse d’études en 1982, avant d’entamer une carrière en tant que designer et illustrateur. Il a travaillé sur d’importants mandats et a remporté plusieurs prix pour la qualité de son travail.

Pendant ses temps libres, ainsi que pour certains projets commerciaux, Peter peignait presque exclusivement à l’aquarelle — jusqu’à ce qu’il découvre la souplesse et la durabilité de la peinture acrylique sur toile, qu’il considère aujourd’hui comme imbattable en termes de longévité et de facilité d’utilisation.

Il y a quelques années, Peter a choisi de se consacrer entièrement à sa véritable passion et objectif de vie : la peinture à temps plein. Depuis, ses œuvres connaissent un succès grandissant, notamment lors des expositions Toronto Art Expo en 2007 et 2008, où il a obtenu un prix à l’Exposition d’art de Montréal en 2007. Ses œuvres ont été présentées dans les galeries Leonardo et Town Square, suscitant un intérêt croissant pour ses originaux et ses reproductions.

Bien que reconnu pour ses paysages canadiens, Peter aime garder son approche renouvelée en explorant aussi des sujets floraux, abstraits et figuratifs. Son style se distingue par une imagerie impressionniste, des coups de pinceau audacieux et une utilisation marquante de la couleur.

Ses œuvres originales et impressions en édition limitée se retrouvent dans un nombre croissant de galeries, collections privées et entreprises à travers l’Amérique du Nord.
