Paul Kenton was born in Derby, England in 1968 and moved to the South West of England in 1977. From an early age, he showed an interest in painting and drawing. Spending all of his spare time at the easel, he soon became familiar and proficient with the various techniques of watercolors and oils. He has a Bachelor in Engineering from Stafford University and has worked as a design draughtsman for several years while painting in his spare time. In 1995, Paul became a full time artist.

A self-taught artist, Paul relishes experimenting with various media and subject matter. He is deeply inspired by his local sea and landscape of North Devon, England and by his painting trips around the world. His work is versatile, fresh and vibrant and captures the atmosphere and essence of the location he paints.

Paul has had many successful exhibitions throughout the United Kingdom and can be seen at work in his gallery/studio in his hometown of Woolacombe, North Devon.

Paul Kenton est né à Derby, en Angleterre, en 1968, et a déménagé dans le sud-ouest du pays en 1977. Dès son jeune âge, il a démontré un vif intérêt pour la peinture et le dessin. Passant tout son temps libre devant son chevalet, il s’est rapidement familiarisé avec diverses techniques de l’aquarelle et de la peinture à l’huile.

Titulaire d’un baccalauréat en génie de l’Université de Stafford, Paul a travaillé plusieurs années comme dessinateur industriel tout en peignant pendant ses temps libres. En 1995, il est devenu artiste à temps plein.

Artiste autodidacte, Paul aime expérimenter avec différents médiums et sujets. Il puise son inspiration dans les paysages maritimes et naturels de sa région, le North Devon, en Angleterre, ainsi que dans ses voyages de peinture à travers le monde. Son œuvre, à la fois polyvalente, vivante et rafraîchissante, capte l’atmosphère et l’essence des lieux qu’il peint.

Paul a présenté de nombreuses expositions couronnées de succès à travers le Royaume-Uni, et il est possible de le voir à l’œuvre dans sa galerie/atelier située dans sa ville natale de Woolacombe, dans le North Devon.
