Marc Johnson was raised in the bustling atmosphere of the artistic SOHO Community in New York. Throughout his early childhood and even today, his parents, who are both artists, influenced him greatly. Living his childhood years in an environment full of art and culture, Marc believed everyone learned about art and the principles of painting and drawing while growing up. The idea of any other style of living was unthinkable.

Starting at a young age, Marc was fortunate to travel to many countries in different parts of the world. The museums and art galleries, which he visited and explored as a child in New York and the other far away places he visited, were to be his true training ground. He realized that art was not only fun, but also an important and integral part of life and culture.

Upon graduating from New York’s prestigious High School of Music and Art, Marc felt the need to explore different avenues of thought, expression and life styles. After studying Marine Biology and living in the Caribbean for many years, Marc discovered his true calling and returned to his first love, art.

Today, Marc creates images using mixed mediums and texture, gathering inspiration from his background and life experiences.

Marc Johnson a grandi dans l’atmosphère vibrante de la communauté artistique de SOHO, à New York. Depuis sa petite enfance, et encore aujourd’hui, il a été profondément influencé par ses parents, tous deux artistes. Ayant grandi dans un milieu rempli d’art et de culture, Marc croyait que tout le monde apprenait les principes de la peinture et du dessin en grandissant. L’idée d’un autre mode de vie lui semblait impensable.

Dès son jeune âge, Marc a eu la chance de voyager dans de nombreux pays à travers le monde. Les musées et galeries d’art qu’il a visités, tant à New York que dans les endroits lointains qu’il a explorés, sont devenus son véritable terrain de formation. Il a compris que l’art n’était pas seulement amusant, mais aussi une partie essentielle et intégrante de la vie et de la culture.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de la réputée High School of Music and Art de New York, Marc a ressenti le besoin d’explorer différentes avenues de pensée, d’expression et de modes de vie. Il a étudié la biologie marine et a vécu plusieurs années dans les Caraïbes, avant de découvrir sa véritable vocation et de revenir à son premier amour : l’art.

Aujourd’hui, Marc crée des œuvres en utilisant des techniques mixtes et des textures, s’inspirant de son parcours et de ses expériences de vie.
