Kerry Darlington was born in 1974 in a coastal town of North Wales. Her talent was recognized from an early age and growing up she was inspired by beautifully illustrated picture books by artists such as Rackham and Dulac. She graduated from Humberside University in Hull with a B.A.Hons degree in illustration. Following University she worked in South America, before returning to the U.K. She was then employed as an Illustrator/designer where her work was made into large-scale clay murals and sold to exclusive residences in the U.A.E., Saudi Arabia and the U.S. This inspired a passion for sculpture and she began experimenting with texture and creating a three-dimensional quality in her work. She now works from her own studio in North Wales.

Kerry Darlington est née en 1974 dans une ville côtière du Nord du Pays de Galles. Son talent a été reconnu dès son jeune âge. En grandissant, elle a été profondément inspirée par les livres illustrés magnifiquement conçus par des artistes tels que Rackham et Dulac. Elle a obtenu un baccalauréat spécialisé en illustration de l’Université de Humberside, à Hull.

Après ses études universitaires, Kerry a travaillé en Amérique du Sud, avant de revenir au Royaume-Uni. Elle a ensuite été embauchée comme illustratrice et designer, et son travail a été transformé en murales en argile de grande envergure, vendues à des résidences exclusives aux Émirats Arabes Unis, en Arabie Saoudite et aux États-Unis. Cette expérience lui a inspiré une passion pour la sculpture, ce qui l’a amenée à expérimenter avec les textures et à intégrer une dimension tridimensionnelle dans ses œuvres.

Aujourd’hui, Kerry travaille à partir de son propre atelier au nord du Pays de Galles.
