Jorge Gomis was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. He pursued creative learning by earning a degree in graphic arts and photography and also earned a degree in business and in marketing management at Esade, a private business school in Barcelona.
Artists have always played an integral role in his life. His family owned and operated a pre-press atelier in Barcelona, where he grew up collaborating daily on printing projects with the local art community. During this time he developed a deep appreciation for the arts, learning many steps of the creative process.
Digital and analog photography both have a place in his portfolio, as he finds positives traits in both technologies. He prefers outdoor photography, mainly landscapes and architecture.
Travelling is an important part of his life, as he feels that it opens his mind and gives him a great opportunity to learn and understand about the world that we all live in.

Jorge Gomis est né et a grandi à Barcelone, en Espagne. Il a poursuivi un apprentissage créatif en obtenant un diplôme en arts graphiques et en photographie, ainsi qu’un diplôme en affaires et en gestion du marketing à l’Esade, une école de commerce privée à Barcelone.

Les artistes ont toujours joué un rôle central dans sa vie. Sa famille possédait et exploitait un atelier de prépresse à Barcelone, où il a grandi en collaborant quotidiennement à des projets d'impression avec la communauté artistique locale. C’est à travers cette expérience qu’il a développé une profonde appréciation des arts, en apprenant plusieurs étapes du processus créatif.

Sa pratique comprend à la fois la photographie numérique et analogique, car il reconnaît les qualités de chacune de ces technologies. Il préfère la photographie en plein air, principalement de paysages et d’architecture.

Le voyage occupe une place importante dans sa vie, car il estime que cela ouvre l’esprit et lui offre une occasion précieuse d’apprendre et de mieux comprendre le monde dans lequel nous vivons tous.
