I began drawing and painting sitting at the kitchen table with my father. He taught me about light, composition and how see the world. This ignited my passion for art which has been a constant theme throughout my life. After art school, I travelled the world as a professional sailor where I got my captain's license, and cemented my love for the ocean. I moved back to my roots in Maine, where I started a family and opened an art gallery with my father, Neal Parent. I currently live in mid-coast Maine where I focus on my art career and being a mother of two boys.

I have many interests that help to inspire my work. I love to sail, snowboard, surf, run, ride horses, scuba dive, spend time with my two boys, travel, and many other outdoor activities that make me want to get in the studio and paint nature in all its forms.

J’ai commencé à dessiner et à peindre à la table de la cuisine avec mon père, qui m’a enseigné la lumière, la composition et comment vraiment voir le monde. Ces moments ont allumé en moi une passion pour l’art qui m’accompagne depuis toujours.

Après l’école d’art, je suis devenu marin professionnel, j’ai obtenu ma licence de capitaine et mon amour pour l’océan s’est encore approfondi. J’ai ensuite retourné à mes racines au Maine, où j’ai fondé une galerie d’art avec mon père, Neal Parent, tout en élevant ma famille. Aujourd’hui, je vis dans le Mid-Coast du Maine, où je me consacre à ma carrière artistique tout en étant maman de deux garçons.

Mes nombreux intérêts — que ce soit la voile, le snowboard, le surf, l’équitation, la plongée, la course ou les voyages — nourrissent grandement mon inspiration. Ces activités en plein air me donnent l’envie de capturer la nature sous toutes ses formes dans mon atelier.
