Annrika McCavitt earned her B.A. in textile design from the Central School of Art and Design in London. McCavitt taught screen printing for a time following her graduation but later left it to open her own textile business. She found business producing textile and furnishing designs from many prestigious firms in Europe. She was elected as a Fellow to the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in 1975 and moved to the United States to pursue free-lance work for such prestigious companies as Pierre Cardin and Givenchy.

McCavitt decided to leave the textile industry in 1982 and took up painting as a full-time activity. She resides in the American Southwest, where she is inspired by the open plains and roaming wilderness.

En 1982, McCavitt a décidé de quitter l’industrie textile pour se consacrer pleinement à la peinture. Elle réside dans le sud-ouest américain, où les vastes plaines et la nature sauvage nourrissent son inspiration.
