Ken Skoda

Ken Skoda was born in Calgary, Canada in 1961 and started painting in oil at the age of 18. Currently residing in Britannia Beach, Canada, Ken draws inspiration from the water, the mountains and the wildlife in British Columbia’s breathtaking landscapes. Known for his colorful works, Ken’s canvases and murals provide vibrant representations of the symbiotic life between plants and animals.

Mentored by Kurt Han in Calgary, Ken has garnered many awards throughout his career.
He won the Calgary Real Estate Board’s art competition in 1991 with a submission that was sold at a Calgary Stampede art auction. In 1996, the Bradford Exchange produced a 4-plate orca panorama of one of Ken’s paintings. Ken painted another orca in October 2004 for an auction that benefited Canucks for Kids, a Vancouver-based non-profit organization.

Ken Skoda est né à Calgary au Canada en 1961. Il a commencé la peinture à l’huile à l’age de 18 ans. Vivant actuellement à Britannia Beach, il tire son inspiration de l’eau, des montagnes et de la faune des incroyables paysages de Colombie Britannique. Renommé pour ses oeuvres colorées, les toiles et fresques murales de Ken dépeignent de façon saisissante la vie symbiotique entre la faune et la flore.

Formé par Kurt Han à Calgary, Ken a reçu de nombreux prix au cours de sa carrière: en 1991, il a gagné le concours organisé par le comité de l’immobilier de Calgary avec une oeuvre qui a été vendue au court d’une vente au enchère d’art à Calgary Stampede. En 1996 la Bradford Exchange a produit un panorama en 4 plaques fait d’oeuvres de Ken représentant un Orque. Ken a peint un autre Orque en 2004 pour une vente aux enchères au bénéfice de « Canucks for kids », une association pour les enfants basée à Vancouver.
